Paris, J'adore

Haven't been updating this blog for a long time cuz I just don't have the inspiration to write, I guess I'm not that much of a writer.

I went to Paris 3 weeks ago for the weekend with my brother and his family. We drove there on Saturday morning at about 5am. I was still half asleep back then.

One thing that fascinated me was the Eurotunnel. I've heard of cars going inside a ferry but this is my first time taking a train, whilst still inside the car. It's pretty awesome experience :) It took us merely 20 minutes ride and then followed by another 2 hour drive to Paris city center.

We didn't do much on Saturday cuz we were all too tired from the journey and lack of sleep. On Sunday, we head down to Montmarte for lunch and to buy some souvenirs. I love Montmarte, it has lots of painters, nice cafe everywhere, the lovely Sacre Couer church uphill. It feels really French i must say.

Before we head home, we drove around the scenic route along the river seine and we stopped at this bridge where you can see Eiffel Tower on your left, and the statue of Liberty ( yes, the statue of Liberty ) on your right. I never knew that the original statue of Liberty is located in Paris, ignorant me.

What can you say, Paris is still Paris, it's a really lovely place -> despite the urine stench at some parts ...

Gosh, time fly so fast in here ... Can't believe I've been here for 4 months now. Oh I gtg soon, catching a musical show ( "Wicked" ). Heard it's good :)

Cheers ^^

Crinkle

Hello, I am Crinkle, I am 6 weeks old and I am very cute ^^ I love eating fruits, hays and veggies. I get scared easily but once I get to know you, I will sit nicely on your lap. I make different kinds of noises, I "purr" when my mummy pets me, I "Wheek" when I want food and I "squeak" when I am happy.

Nice to meet you :)
I like to play computer game too ^^

Never trust a good looking landlord !

The yummy landlord is not so yummy afterall. He decided to rent the place out to his friends instead so he doesn't have to pay the agent fee ! arrrr... not happy ! But a tiny part of me is actually quite relieved because I'll get to hunt for houses again, I love viewing houses :)

It's the weekend ! And Monday is a public holiday ! TGIF baby !

Oh and check this out ..... http://newwestend.com/trafficfree/This Saturday, the Oxford street will be closed to traffic because apparently, there is an event to promote the movie 'Night of the Museum 2'. They are trying to capture the movie essence by placing a giant dinosaur - yes a DINOSAUR skeleton in the middle of the street and the casts of the movie will be walking around in town ! Isn't that cool ? I bet it's gonna be so much fun ... and crowded ! I'm totally going to be there.

Cheerios =)

A quick update

Friends have started to bug me to update my blog so me being the obedient one shall do my chores heheh :)

Great news, my hubby has started his new job since last week, so both me and him have been pretty occupied lately, plus we go out every weekends and by the time we get back, I'm just to tired aka lazy to blog. I also started cooking again on weekday evenings because I don't like outside food very much, it's always sandwich, sandwich, sandwich, and an expensive one at that ... Having an Asian tongue, I need my rice and chicken to keep me full, so I gotta pretty much make it myself.

So that's my routine on weekdays, get up in the morning, shower, eat breakfast, walk to the subway station, grab a copy of 'Metro' ( that's the free newspaper distributed in the subway stations ), and squeeze inside the subway for 45 minutes to work. And in the evenings, I'll come back home and prepare dinner and the next day's lunch, and then I'll sit down and be a couch potato =D

Hmm, I seriously need to go back to the gym !

Anyway, last Saturday, we went out for house/apartment hunting and we managed to get a nice studio apartment for quite a good price of 800 quids a month ( it's quite small but it's furnished, with kitchenette,  toilet, a mini garden, all of the bills inclusive, plus it's brand New ! How great is that ? ) And the location is perfect too, it's only a few stops away from central London, 10 minutes walk to Westfield shopping center and a direct bus away from my hubby's workplace. Our current place is nice and cosy, but it's 2 hours away from his office, we needed to stay somewhere a little centralized so he won't have to suffer the long journey everyday.

So it's back to packing for me, we are moving in this Saturday, ooh I'm so excited :) Can't wait for the weekends :) I love moving houses because I'll get to decorate it heheh.

This coming monday is a bank holiday, so I'll get a 3 days weekend, YAY :)

Oops I did it again ...

Ok ok I know ! I said before that I won't get another tattoo, but I can't help it !!! My first tattoo was so tiny, it's barely there, it looks like a mole... See this pic and you'll know why ...
So I decided to re-do it again, and this time with a slightly bigger design. And boy, it hurts 10 times more as compared to the first time when I did it, but the result was so much better too. And this time around I came prepared, brought my Ipod with me so I won't be able to hear the needle sound, which scares the hell outta me. And I also brought a comic book to keep me occupied and to take my minds off the pain.

Finally I can say that I'm pleased :)
The final result

My first tattoo experience

I did it !!!

I got inked !!!!!!

I was so bloody nervous when I did it, considering that I have a phobia of needle and blood ... but it wasn't that bad though. It hurts so much more when it hits the bone area.

So the question is, will I do it again ? Well, I don't think so... once is enough !
